• From 2021 to 2023, salary increased by 49%

• The second chart illustrates year-on-year growth (CYvsPY).

The graphs show that absolute values are increasing, but growth rates are slowing.

• From 2021 to 2023, the number of employees increased by 32%

The graphs indicate that the number of employees is increasing, but the pace of this increase is slowing.

Comparing the dynamics of the change in the number of employees with the dynamics of the change in wages, it is observed that wages grow faster. This suggests that the demand for workers in this category is greater than the available supply.

In this table, the colored signs indicate the migration of employees, taking into account the level of wages in different years.

For example, the percentage of employees receiving a salary above 20,000 lei from this category (%CT) increased from 35% in 2021 to 43% in 2022 and to 51% in 2023.

This shows that companies are moving from technologically simpler and more accessible data collection, storage and processing methods to more technologically advanced (and more expensive, if we consider technolability as the cost of an employee) methods.

Between 2021 and 2022, labor costs in the "J Information and Communications" category increased from 5,663,226 MDL in 2020 to 10,301,246 MDL in 2022, representing an increase of 82%.

Unfortunately, the data for the year 2023 from the National Bureau of Statistics of Moldova have not yet been published.

The table reflects the demand and salary level for the keyword "Analyst" according to the data on the rabota.md website from 05/24/2024.

• The average net salary for all companies is 26,954 MDL.

• In companies where the job description specifies requirements for skills in working with Power BI or Qlik, the net salary varies between 47,981 and 76,770 MDL.

• Companies that need an employee without knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and methods, but with specialized knowledge or skills (for example, in banking or project management), offer net salaries between 26,545 and 38,385 MDL.

• The following salary range in companies is from 12,000 to 18,000 MDL. These vacancies are intended for employees with basic skills in Excel/Word and accounting software.

SUMMARIZE

In the coming years, it is expected that the demand for specialists skilled in modern business analysis methods and tools will continue to exceed the supply.

IT companies will have an advantage in the competition to attract the most talented employees, thanks to the reduced tax burden offered by the IT park, thus allowing them to offer more competitive salaries.

Companies that do not adapt to the new realities in time risk losing their employees and encountering difficulties in recruiting new ones.

This will affect their competitiveness in the industry.

We observe a growing demand for specialists, even in the context of the difficult economic and political situation for the Republic of Moldova. As conditions improve, this trend is expected to intensify.
